Full description
Shibori leather is hand dyed and unique in its own right, unique designs and colour matching is also available.
From the smallest dwelling to multi store developments, Shibori thrive in the direct collaboration with designers and developers in order to create truly bespoke masterpieces.
The ancient Japanese art of shibori is a resist-dyeing technique commonly used to decorate silk or cotton found on Obi and Kimonos. Shibori textiles have put their own spin on the technique applying it to different materials such as upholstery fabrics, wood, wallpaper and leather. All Shibori leather stays with the tradition and is hand-dyed using Shibori textile’s own methods.
“Leather is a unique material as it is not like fabric with a warp and a weft but rather has the quality of skin and each individual skin grabs the dye giving more definition and room for spontaneous design.”

- Upholstery-grade leather suitable for high traffic residential and commercial applications.

Leather dye is made to penetrate into pretreated leather surface and may yield colour when rubbed due to the levels absorbed in the binding restrictions.
This leather has been commercially sealed however underside should be treated with caution as despite several washes fine dye particles can be caught in the suede and rub off if put in contact with other materials.
