Bound by cloth

Shibori is an Australian textile and design company based in Sydney founded by Karen Davis and Pepa Martin in 2005.

Karen and Pepa worked together with a passion for colour and texture using cloth as their medium creating patterns based on versions of modernised ancient techniques of resist dyeing.

Our Story

We are artists, designers, authors and educators dyeing textiles for beautiful spaces.

Collaborations

Over the years designs formed collections and products evolved. Experiments failed and succeeded and the result was a brand worthy of it’s place in Australian design.

Shibori proudly prints several collections on many diverse surfaces and works with designers, architects and consultants all over the world on top hotels, venues, restaurants and more.
